The natural world offers us many lessons in spontaneity, mystery, beauty, and the experience of being alive. Being in connection with it is an essential part of human wholeness. In this busy age where so much of our attention is being drawn elsewhere, how can we create deep, personal, meaningful relationship, with the natural world? How do we reconnect with nature's wisdom to bring us more into ourselves, help us orient, and guide us into more authentic, heart full living?
In this series, you will explore your relationship with the natural world through curiosity, awareness of self, community, and the wild. Each day will include a short hike, time together, and time alone. Guided practices will include exploring reciprocity, attunement with nature, and building a small community through authentic sharing and shared ritual making. The practices encourage each individual to find their own way into meaningful relationship, and emphasize authenticity.
We will use Council Practice for group sharing and reflection. Council Practice is designed to support authentic sharing, witnessing, and honoring of each other's truths. It is a practice based in principles common to the traditions of people all over the world.
Each day out in the wild, we will facilitate Council as well as time to be alone in nature with specific teachings and tasks to engage with. There will be time to share, listen, and reflect on each other's experiences. Participants must be able to hike 2 miles. All genders and non genders, cultures, beliefs and non beliefs are welcome.
